Hi there!
Hope you’ve had a great week!
So excited to be getting a glimpse of spring sunshine peaking through.
Did you see naturopath Lindsay Ingleton on last weeks show talking about how to prevent the spring sniffles? Apparently eating a small amount of local honey is the key.
If you missed our last two episodes don’t forget you can watch them anytime through this link https://www.9now.com.au/destination-happiness.
Otherwise you can find us 12pm Saturdays on Channel 9.
Happy People
Cam Greenwood – Monsta Surf
At the age of 25, Cam Greenwood has wisdom beyond his years. After starting his own surf company, Monsta Surf in his parent’s backyard in 2012, Cam has since travelled around the world helping people in developing countries to “remove the chains that hold people back from living a free and passionate life.”

Happy Mind
Chris Mackey – Focusing Attention
For this week’s Happy Mind segment, resident psychologist Chris Mackey speaks to us about focusing attention. Meditation or mindfulness exercises can help us be aware of our inner thoughts and less reactive to them.
Happy Bodies
Mick O’Malley – Australian Kokoda Tours
When ex-champion boxer Mick O’Malley walked Kokoda, his life was changed. Such was the impact of that trip that he’s now made the trek an incredible 54 times. Mick now runs Australia Kokoda Tours, where he trains at-risk youths to make the trek with him often with inspiring transformations.
Wellbeing Tip
This week our resident naturopath Lyndsay Ingleton talks about the importance of getting enough iron in our diets with a few handy tips to enhance iron absorption.
Happy Mind
Dylan Frusher
For many of us, meditation may seem like it’s not our thing but we all know it’s good for us. This week, Dylan Frusher teaches us that meditation is just about building a healthy relationship with our busy minds. He describes a simple way to meditate, focusing on our breath to train our attention to stay more stable.
Word Vitamin
Cynthia Morton – Discipline
For this week’s word vitamin, Cynthia Morton talks to us about the importance of discipline. Practicing patience, instead of focusing on the now will help us to achieve our longer-term goals.
Happy Pets
Elaine Janes and Her Chooks
On this week’s Happy Pets segment, we meet Elaine Janes and her trained pet chickens. Elaine is a competitive powerlifter and is well supported by her chickens, who often accompany her to train. Although nearly 73, Elaine has set her sights on a 100kg lift this year and with her determination and positive attitude, we wouldn’t be surprised to see it!
Random Acts of Happiness
This week, thanks to Morris Finance we take Anthony and Jordy skydiving. Anthony was diagnosed with an aggressive form of bowel cancer in 2016 and his courage and determination is inspirational. For Anthony, it seemed like skydiving was a walk in the park compared to the challenges he’s already overcome. After Anthony and Jordy come back to Earth from their skydive Angie has a second big treat in store for them.
