You’ve gotta love Melbourne, the home of hip, for it’s quirkiness and adventure. So if you’re up for a stay in Melbourne of a totally different kind to your usual hotel experience, the Notel is a great choice.
Now, it can take a bit of finding (that’s part of the whole adventurous nature of this stay) but once you get there, you can’t help but be impressed by the set up. Six retro chrome Airstream trailers perched up on the top of a carpark roof overlooking the uber cool laneways district of the CBD.
Reception consists of an iPad – No people at the Notel – and your trailer is decked out with all the hi-tech gismos you’ll need for your stay. Now, don’t be freaked out by the term “No Bar” at the Notel, this is in no way something to be afraid of, in fact quite the opposite. The No Bar is actually a mini bar without the price list – it’s all free with your stay. You won’t be paying $15 for that chocolate bar you had to have when you got home…. go for your life, clean the whole thing out. Woohoo!
And for those who like a little bit of luxury while they’re lounging around on a car park roof top, you’ll want to book the Airstream with Benefits, this comes with a private deck and disco spa. How much cooler can the Notel get… really.
