James Colquhoun’s story and the origin of the Food Matters phenomenon is both interesting and heart felt. If was James’ love for his dad, Roy, who was suffering from chronic disease, depression and anxiety that propelled him into film making in an effort to get his dad’s attention.
Being a nutritionist, James had a lot of advice to share with his dad about the healing powers of healthy eating, but the message wasn’t getting through. So in what may seem to some as quite extreme measures, James and his wife Laurentine took their life savings and gathered some of their expert friends around the world to help get the message across via a documentary call Food Matters.
As it turns out, James and Laurentine’s gamble paid off. They got Roy’s attention, saved his life and in the process, Food Matters has been viewed millions of times, spreading the good word about healthy eating.
With a second documentary “Hungry for Change” now also complete, James has a global team educating the world about the amazing benefits that can be achieved through living a healthy lifestyle.
Meeting James was quite a thrill and to listen to him talk about the power of nutrition is quite captivating. His passion and belief are so infectious, because he is bubbling with energy and enthusiasm for what can be achieved through his work.
James and his family have made a difference in so many lives, their dedication to helping both their own family and the world beyond is truly admirable.
