Chris is a clinical and counselling psychologist and a Fellow of the Australian Psychological Society with over 35 years’ psychotherapy experience, including 20 years as the practice principal at Chris Mackey and Associates in Geelong.
Chris is passionate in helping people find meaning and purpose in people’s lives and is the author of Synchronicity: Empower your life with the gift of coincidence.
He writes a regular column on positive psychology for The Geelong Advertiser and has a fortnightly segment on 93.9 Bay FM about synchronicity, or uncanny and meaningful coincidences. He is widely known for his research on the effectiveness of psychological therapy on which he has presented at many national and international conferences over the past 15 years. Chris is married to Sue, the author of Positive Oncology, and has three adult children. He loves movies and kayaking.
