On this weeks show…
Happy Bodies
With an explosion of colour and excitement, Angie takes us to the Gold Coast for one of the happiest days of the year. The Color Run is also known at the happiest 5000 metres on the planet, there are no stopwatches or winners in this event but lots of colour thrown in along the way on this run when fun (not competition) is the order of the day.
Happy People
Professor Barbara Frederickson is one of the most highly cited researchers in the world of positive psychology. Her specialty area is positive emotions and she is able to describe the things that make us happy with authority and simplicity. We were very excited to be able to interview her on her recent trip to Australia and even more excited to hear her describe how we all have more ability to control our emotions and become more positive than we thought.
Happy Mind
Chris and Angie chat about finding meaning and purpose in life which is one of the major determinants of finding happiness.
Happy Travels
Angie takes some friends along for a fun weekend of connection and good food to The 3 Paddocks Accommodation in country Victoria. Emma James catering provides a sumptuous feast to really make it a relaxing mini break without the stress of cooking. This might just put the idea into your mind to plan your own weekend getaway with your friends. We totally recommend it!
Happy travels are proudly brought to you by Webjet.
Random Acts of Happiness
This week Adamo coincidentally visits his old primary school with the Kelloggs team to take breakfast and snacks to some very deserving children. Did you know that 1 in 7 Aussies kids go to school hungry? In an awesomely generous initiative Kelloggs have committed to donating 3 billion serves of breakfast to Australian schools by 2025.
Happy Finances
This week Angie, with the help of our friends at Morris Finance, gives some great tips on getting a loan.
Happy Homes
Tara McGowan was passionate about helping people with disabilities before she tragically passed away from an asthma attack at the age of 23. The wonderful team at GenU in partnership with the Tara’s Dream Foundation have helped Tara’s legacy to have a real and lasting impact for others. Angie takes us on a tour of Tara’s actual Dream House, a nine bedroom residence designed for people with special needs. We meet her wonderful parents and some special residents who benefit greatly from Tara’s passion to make a difference.
Happy Eating
Our resident nutritionist Lola Berry prepares some “hard to believe they are healthy” chocolate macaroon balls for this weeks show. Check out our website after the show for the recipe.
