I must say I was a bit intimidated meeting Tim Robards for a workout, that man is ridiculously fit, toned and super strong! But I needn’t have worried, Tim was not intimidating at all, he was actually very accommodating to my level of fitness, which is nowhere near his.
Tim took me through The Robards Method, his training program which can be applied at any level whether you want to lose some weight, tone up or train at elite level. No fancy equipment or gismos required, a pair of wooden rings and a park was all we needed. Tim’s workout is simple and can be done anywhere – at home, down at the park, at your mates place, the gym, wherever you like to train.
Now when I say simple, I don’t mean I found it particularly easy, my core muscles definitely felt the burn – actually I felt it all over. It’s a great workout that lets you progress through each movement to a more advanced level as you feel yourself getting stronger – and that’s what we want to see when we’re training – PROGRESS! It motivates us to keep going back.
So I was pretty happy with my session with Tim, he’s a great guy and so knowledgable. Being a Personal Trainer and Chiropractor, he certainly knows a lot about how the body moves and works and where to find those muscles you never realised you had until the pain sets in. It’s good pain though, because you know you’re doing something great for your health.
